Luda 29-1 oilfield : CNOOC begins production from offshore Chinese asset
CNOOC, a Chinese state-owned oil and gas company, has commenced production from the Luda 29-1 oilfield in the Bohai Sea, offshore China.
Located in the Liaodong Bay, the Luda 29-1 oilfield is contained in a water depth of nearly 32m.
Apart from fully using the existing processing facilities of Luda 21-2/Luda 16-3 oilfield, the Luda 29-1 project has built a new wellhead platform.

The wellhead platform is planned to have seven development wells in total. These include four production wells, a couple of water injection wells, and a water source well.
The Luda 29-1 oilfield is anticipated to achieve its peak production of around 4,440 barrels of crude oil per day in 2021.
CNOOC has 100% interest in the Luda 29-1 project and is also its operator.
