Lindsay acquires US AgTech company Net Irrigate
Lindsay acquisition of Net Irrigate : Lindsay Corporation, a manufacturer and distributor of irrigation and infrastructure equipment and technology, has acquired Net Irrigate, a US-based AgTech company, for an undisclosed price.
Net Irrigate is an agriculture Internet of Things technology company that caters to irrigation customers with remote monitoring solutions. The company will now join the FieldNET brand of remote irrigation monitoring and control solutions owned by Lindsay Corporation.
According to Lindsay Corporation, the acquisition of Net Irrigate furthers the two firms’ shared objectives of providing innovative real-world solutions to enable growers to boost water and energy efficiency and exercise more sustainable farming methods while operating and maintaining irrigation systems.

Established in 2006, Net Irrigate develops tailored remote monitoring devices and reporting software for large farms and government agencies that are engaged with ground and surface water conservation. In 2010, the AgTech company launched its flagship WireRat brand, which is said to have resulted in the reduction of copper theft on center pivots in various areas of the US and Canada.
Net Irrigate is claimed to have deployed over 10,000 monitoring devices, including its CircleScout remote irrigation management hardware and software solution, across more than 2,000 agricultural enterprises.
