Lightbeam Health Solutions, a US-based end-to-end population health management solutions provider, has acquired deviceless remote patient monitoring technology developer CareSignal for an undisclosed price.

The acquisition will allow Lightbeam Health Solutions to incorporate the scalable, scientifically-based remote monitoring and engagement capabilities of CareSignal into its primary population health offering that is said to serve over 42 million patients in the US.

Lightbeam Health Solutions and CareSignal are expected to jointly offer the most advanced population-level stratification available as well as insights that can be delivered in real-time, as well as improved clinical outcomes.

CareSignal offers more than 30 programs that are specific to a particular condition, and an array of artificial intelligence (AI) based predictive models that are said to be complementing Lightbeam Health Solutions’ advanced population health analytics system.

In combination with the real-time cohort generation capabilities at the core of Lightbeam Health Solutions, CareSignal programs covering chronic health conditions and behavioral health, as well as social determinants of health maternal health, and other uses will produce scalable returns on investment for value-based payers, providers, and self-insured employers.
