KPTL consortium to deliver HumeLink (East) transmission project, Australia

Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited (KPTL) said that it has been selected along with Acciona Construction Australia and Genus Plus Group as the preferred proponent for delivering the HumeLink (East) transmission line project of Transgrid in Australia.

According to the Indian engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor, the value of the contract will be determined after completing the early contractor involvement (ECI) stage 2 process.

The HumeLink project calls for the construction of a 500kV new transmission line of around 356km in length in New South Wales.

Construction of the HumeLink transmission project has been divided into two sections, east and west. Transgrid plans to build new transmission lines and new or upgraded infrastructure at four substation sites.

Under a joint venture arrangement, Kalpataru Power Transmission Limited, Acciona Construction Australia, and Genus Plus Group will work to execute the eastern portion of the HumeLink transmission project.
