Iteris wins smart mobility design contract from Caltrans

Iteris, a California-based smart mobility infrastructure management company, has won a contract worth $1.1 million from the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) for smart mobility design and engineering services.

The contract from Caltrans pertains to the rehabilitation and upgrade of roadways spread over three communities in Los Angeles.

As per the terms of the one-year sub-contract from Jacobs, Iteris will deliver services in the areas of engineering traffic signal system, pavement, sidewalk and curb ramp upgrades, and street lighting system at 75 intersections in Santa Monica, Echo Park, and Hollywood.

According to Iteris, the roadway rehabilitation and upgrade program will help to boost safety, accessibility, and mobility for all road users, including vehicles, bicyclists, and pedestrians.
