Irish fast fashion retailer Primark announces three new stores in New York

Primark, an Irish multinational fast fashion retailer, is set to open three new stores in New York as part of its growth strategy to operate 60 stores in the US by 2026.

Anticipated to open before 2023, the three new New York Metro stores are located at Roosevelt Field in Garden City, City Point in Brooklyn, and Jamaica Avenue in Queens.

The fast fashion store located at Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, Long Island, was thrown open to shoppers on 17 November, marking the brand’s 14th store in the US.

The new Primark Jamaica Avenue store is slated to open on 1 December 2022 while the new City Point store’s opening date is yet to be announced.

With the three new fast fashion stores, Primark’s stores in the New York City region reach five while the retailer has entered into a new lease agreement for a point at Queens Center in Queens.

Primark, previously the Penneys brand, is planning to increase its stores to the 530-mark by the end of 2026, through entering new and existing markets, including upcoming new markets of Slovakia and Romania.
