Infosys to help Siemens Gamesa implement SAP S/4HANA ERP solution

Infosys said that it has been selected by wind turbine manufacturer Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) as a strategic partner for SAP S/4HANA implementation for delivering a globally harmonized enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

According to the Indian IT services provider, the implementation of SAP S/4HANA will help Siemens Gamesa in transforming into an agile, global organization driving digitalization, while boosting its digital capabilities, offering, and competitive positioning.

Infosys said that it has implemented a greenfield SAP S/4HANA solution in seven countries, replacing two legacy ERP systems.

Teams of the Indian IT services company and Siemens Gamesa are said to have jointly engineered and developed a solution template that helped decrease redundancy in record time across business processes and technology landscapes.

Infosys said that the solution is designed to boost business efficiency across the value chain and cut down time-to-market. The company further stated that the transformation will facilitate real-time reporting, a digitally enabled workforce, lesser go-to-market time for Siemens Gamesa.

The wind turbine manufacturer has also engaged Infosys for an industrialized rollout across more than 50 countries, 22 manufacturing plants covering all business units such as onshore, offshore, services, and corporate functions, by making use of Infosys Cobalt.
