Infosys opens new proximity center in Gothenburg, Sweden

Infosys has announced the opening of a new proximity center in Gothenburg, Sweden in a move to grow its presence in the Nordics.

Through the investment, the Indian IT giant is looking to improve its localization strategy in the Nordics by offering its clients in the region with next-generation digital offerings, as they go through the next phase in their digital journeys.

Axel Josefson — Gothenburg Chairman City Executive Board said: “We are delighted that Infosys has chosen the city of Gothenburg for its new proximity center.

“The center will bring next generational digital technologies and skills to the city and Nordic region. Infosys’ venture will significantly contribute to strengthening the internationally renowned technology cluster we have here at Lindholmen Science Park.”

Infosys said that over the last 20 years, it has been growing its footprint steadily in the Nordics. The new proximity center in Gothenburg is said to be another step taken by the India IT company to bolster its footprint in a key city on the west coast of Sweden and a growing automotive, digital tech, and green innovation hub in Europe.
