Infosys names Shaji Mathew as new Group Head of Human Resources

Infosys has announced the selection of Shaji Mathew as the company’s new Group Chief for Human Resources (HR) effective from 22 March 2023.

According to the Indian IT company, Shaji Mathew will take the place of Krish Shankar, who is retiring on the 21st of March 2023 after having served in the same position since the year 2015.

In accordance with the recommendations of the Audit Committee as well as the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, the company’s board also appointed Shaji Mathew as Executive Officer with purposes of reporting under the regulations of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and as Key Managerial Personnel as defined by IndAS 24-Related Party Disclosures.

In his current position, Shaji Mathew is the global director of delivery for Infosys’ Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare, and Life Sciences. He has also been helping the company’s efforts in creating a more inclusive workforce by serving as the Chair of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) in India.

A rank holder from the National Institute of Technology, Calicut, Shaji Mathew has completed Stanford University Graduate School of Business’ Global Leadership Program. He has been the Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry at the zone level as well.

In his time with the company, Krish Shankar has led the development of a solid customer value concept for the employees, said Infosys. He also aided in the creation of an environment that is based on digital skills, and created digital career pathways for employees.

Krish Shankar was also crucial in successfully managing the workforce as well as seamless continuity of business during and following the pandemic with a relentless attention to the well-being of employees, stated Infosys.
