Infosys helps mobility specialist ZF to transform supply chain operations

Infosys said that it has joined forces with mobility specialist ZF for revamping the latter’s multi-echelon supply chain with SAP Integrated Business Planning (SAP IBP) and Infosys Cobalt.

Through the partnership with ZF’s aftermarket unit, Infosys has implemented SAP IBP to plan demand and optimization of inventory.

Infosys is said to have been selected to help ZF on its journey of transformation because of its expertise in SAP IBP implementation and a variety of accelerators and tools, supported by a team of efficient employees.

As part of the engagement, Infosys said that it leveraged its hybrid agile implementation method to replace a variety of outdated demand planning tools at ZF Aftermarket, with an integrated and globally-based SAP platform.

Furthermore, by enabling two-way transfer of critical business data between the platform and external systems, Infosys has helped in facilitating the planning of complex operations with total automation of safety inventory.

The implementation has brought forward advanced forecasting of demand, collaboration in planning, enhanced efficiency and responsiveness as well as transparency and an interactive user experience across the supply chain of ZF Aftermarket.
