IndusInd Bank, as part of its CSR commitments, has installed rooftop solar panels at the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai.

According to the Pune-based commercial banking company, the installation is a large scale grid solar photovoltaic (PV) system that will produce around 300 kilowatt peak (kwp) of energy. The system will offset carbon emission by more than 340 metric tonnes.

IndusInd Bank said that the solar PV system will help Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital save close to INR 60 lakhs annually towards energy consumption, which will be used for providing free of cost cardiac surgeries to 40 children with congenital heart diseases, said the banking group.
