Indian IT company Wipro opens APMEA headquarters in Dubai
Wipro has opened the headquarters of its Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa (APMEA) operations in Dubai, UAE to lead the Indian IT company’s expansion and investments in the country and the region.
The opening ceremony of Wipro APMEA headquarters was attended by the Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is also the Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, along with other dignitaries.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed said: “The establishment of Wipro’s new facility in Dubai reflects the emirate’s growing profile as a global hub for the world’s leading information technology companies.”
Wipro APMEA headquarters is located in One Central at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The new office of Wipro is expected to address the technology, business, and transformation agendas of clients in focus areas like financial services, retail, telecom, energy and utilities, and the public sector.
Wipro, which started its operations in the Middle East in the UAE in 2001, has a footprint across various countries in the region.
The APMEA headquarters of Wipro will feature a co-innovation space. Here, strategic partners such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), Informatica, Microsoft, SAS, Palo Alto Networks, and Snowflake, will collaborate with the Indian IT firm to co-develop solutions that address the evolving requirements of important sectors and technologies.

Recently, Wipro roped in Simmi Dhamija as the chief operating officer for its APMEA operations.
