HPCL begins petrochemicals marketing with HP DURAPOL polymer brand
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL) has entered into the petrochemicals business with pre-marketing of a new polymer brand called HP DURAPOL.
According to the Indian government-owned Indian oil and gas refining company, this is a pre-cursor to the marketing of the petrochemical products to be produced at HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited (HRRL).
HPCL said that HPCL Rajasthan Refinery is developing a new grass root refinery and petrochemical complex at Pachpadra in Rajasthan’s Barmer district, which will have a capacity of 9MMTPA.

The Maharatna oil company started the sale of polymers to an end customer earlier this week in Mumbai.
Separately, HPCL has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEl), which calls for the cooperation and collaboration of the parties in the areas of renewable energy, energy storage projects, round-the-clock power, electric mobility, solar/wind value chain as well as meeting the former’s green power requirements by utilizing each other’s know-how.
