Hinduja Global Solutions bags contract worth up to £211m from UKHSA

Hinduja Global Solutions (HGS) said that its subsidiary HGS UK has bagged a contract worth up to £211 million (INR 2,100 crores) from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) to deliver critical customer support to British citizens.

The contract is initially for a couple of years and can be further extended.

According to Hinduja Global Solutions, the partnership is already in progress having started earlier last week.

Across the term of the contract, Hinduja Global Solutions expects to recruit more than 2,000 work from home roles across the UK.

The contract will help UKHSA in future contact tracing requirements for Covid-19 under the NHS Test & Trace and other health security risks like a large outbreak of flu or new pandemic.

Partha DeSarkar — Executive Director and Group CEO of Hinduja Global Solutions said: “HGS has been successfully operating in the UK market for over 10 years. While revenues for year ended March 2021 were approx. GBP 67 million, in the nine months ended December 2021, HGS UK more than doubled its revenues to GBP 87 million. Our public sector business has been a key part of this success story with some marquee clients.

“The significant investments we have made in strengthening our expertise in this vertical, focused sales strategy, Cloud technology, and deployment of Work@Home delivery have enhanced our presence in this demanding market.
