Hilb Group acquires Abatelli Insurance Agency

The Hilb Group, a property and casualty and employee benefits insurance brokerage, has acquired New York-based Abatelli Insurance Agency for an undisclosed price.

Headquartered in Whitestone, Abatelli Insurance Agency is claimed to has served the Long Island area, Queens borough, and beyond for over 100 years.

Siblings Eileen Black, James Abatelli, Phillip Abatelli III, and their team of insurance professionals will now work with the Tri-State regional operations of Hilb Group.

The Abatelli family stated: “We take tremendous pride in cultivating long-term relationships and a passion for excellent service to our clients by understanding their business and providing customized solutions.

The acquisition is said to further grow Hilb Group’s footprint in the Tri-State area besides increasing its expertise in providing personal and commercial insurance solutions.
