Hero MotoCorp extends shutdown of manufacturing plants amid Covid-19
Hero MotoCorp will extend the shutdown at its manufacturing factories across India by another week till 16 May 2021 amid the devastating second wave of Covid-19 in the country.
The motorcycle and scooter manufacturer will also keep its Global Parts Center (GPC) in Neemrana and its research and development facility – the Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) in Jaipur closed in this regard.
Hero MotoCorp said that it is monitoring the situation continuously and has its business continuity plans in place for quickly resuming and scaling up operations as and when the situation becomes better.

The automobile manufacturer also said that it had proactively suspended the plant operations temporarily in a staggered manner for four days from 22 April to 1 May, which was extended later till 9 May.
All corporate offices of Hero MotoCorp have been in Work from Home (WFH) mode.
Recently, the Indian two-wheeler manufacturer said that it had registered sales of 372,285 motorcycles and scooters during April 2021. Read more about Hero MotoCorp April 2021 sales here.
