HCL Technologies opens global delivery center in Hartford
Indian IT technology company HCL Technologies has opened its previously announced global delivery center in Hartford, Connecticut.
According to HCL Technologies, its new center will cater to its flagship client — Stanley Black & Decker, an American manufacturing company. Besides, the Hartford global delivery center will be expanded to support clients across industries such as manufacturing, defense and aerospace, life sciences, insurance, and health care.
The Indian digital solutions provider intends to generate 500 new jobs in the next 24 to 36 months in Connecticut.
HCL Technologies said that the jobs will include technology roles in the Internet of Things (IoT), augmented reality, infrastructure, aerospace engineering, digital workplace, operations technologies, and IT applications.

Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont said: “We are honored that HCL chose Connecticut to expand its presence in the U.S.
“The Hartford Center will bring new opportunities to our community and connect our talented workforce and future graduates with job opportunities in some of the fastest-growing industries.”
Announced in February 2020, the HCL global delivery center in Hartford will have a smart manufacturing lab that will showcase technologies from the company and its ecosystem. It will eventually serve as the main hub for HCL Technologies’ clients in the region and across the US.
The smart manufacturing lab is among various centers that the Indian IT firm will be opening in the US as part of its growth plans. Currently, HCL Technologies is said to have over 22,000 US employees.
