GRM Overseas to enter agrotech space through MoU with Harvesting India

GRM Overseas, an India-based Basmati Rice exporter, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Harvesting India Private Limited (HFN) in a move to make its foray into the agrotech space.

Harvesting India works with farmers from seed to market, covering the entire crop lifecycle to help them get improved prices for their products and reduced farm input costs.

The company also helps farmers with marketing, investment, and technological assistance.

As per the contract awarded by GRM Overseas, Harvesting India will source up to 20,000 MT of paddy, 5,000 MT of mustard, and 12,000 MT of wheat on behalf of the former in 2023.

Harvesting India will sell and promote the products of GRM Overseas under the 10X brand on its virtual platform to directly sell them to consumers. Besides, the former will offer the 10X products at its HFN Kisan Centres to farmers and villagers to help the latter boost its brand value in rural regions.

According to GRM Overseas, the agreement is intended to continue providing the highest quality products to the former’s customers while also assisting farmers and uplifting the agriculture sector.

By purchasing the products directly from farmers, the MoU is intended to help farmers in better planning their crop production so that their yields and profits are increased substantially.
