Global insurance brokerage HUB International acquires WFG Benefits

Global insurance brokerage HUB International has acquired the assets of WFG Benefits for an undisclosed price.

WFG Benefits, which is based in McLean, Virginia, is an insurance and employee benefit planning company.

It has been offering benefits solutions to businesses, associations, professional firms and institutions in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Hub International, which is headquartered in Chicago, offers property and casualty, employee benefits, life and health, investment and risk management products and services.

The insurance brokerage had earlier announced the acquisition of Clearpoint Advisory Group, Clearpoint Retirement Solutions, and Canwest Group Benefits, which are collectively called Clearpoint, based in Canada.

Headquartered in Alberta, Clearpoint is a benefits and retirement consulting company that offers group benefit advisory services and retirement solutions to employers.
