GE Power Conversion has bagged a contract from BUMA engineering & Anlagenbau, an Austrian mechanical supplier, for installing electrical equipment for a new descaling spray at the WBW2 hot rolling mill of thyssenkrupp Steel Europe in Duisburg, Germany.

The contract won by the subsidiary of General Electric (GE) is worth around $3.6 million.

A new descaling plant for the hot rolling mill to be developed and installed by BUMA will come in the place of the existing descaler ZW2 directly upstream of the finishing mill.
