Engineers India Ltd wins contract for Numaligarh oil refinery unit revamp

Engineers India Limited (ElL) said that it has bagged an order worth INR 111 crores for the execution of the revamp of a delayed coker unit (DCU) at the Numaligarh oil refinery in Assam, India.

As per the contract awarded by Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL), Engineers India Limited will carry out the project as a licensor cum engineering, procurement & construction management (EPCM) consultant.

The revamp of the delayed coker unit at the Numaligarh oil refinery involves ramping up the capacity from the existing 0.306 MMTPA to 0.560 MMTPA apart from enabling it to process tougher feed.

Earlier this year, Engineers India and Oil India Limited had entered into share purchase agreements (SPAs) for acquiring the stake of 61.65% owned by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) in the Numaligarh Refinery.
