Dutch retailer Jumbo partners with Hanshow to digitize network of stores

Jumbo, a Dutch supermarket chain, has collaborated with Hanshow, a Chinese electronic shelf label products and solutions provider, to digitalize its network of stores as part of its goal of sustainability.

Established in 1921, Jumbo currently has over 700 stores in the Netherlands and Belgium.

As part of the collaboration, Hanshow will install more than 11 million electronic shelf labels at all 700 stores of Jumbo.

Jumbo stated: “The unique Jumbo formula revolves around a large assortment with the best service at low prices.

“Correct prices on the shelf and the ability to react quickly and efficiently to market developments are essential for this.

“The technology of Hanshow contributes to this.”

Jumbo is anticipated to save time and conserve energy across all its stores through the deployment of more than 11 million electronic shelf labels.

Electronic shelf labels are expected to improve inventory management and faster picking of orders with LED flashing functions, apart from boosting store appearance, customer shopping experience, and error-free labeling.
