Cyient has been chosen by the UK’s HM Land Registry (HMLR) for supporting its Local Land Charges (LLC) program, which aims at creating a national service for speeding up searches and making the homebuying process easier, faster, and cheaper.

The Indian technology solutions company said that it has partnered with Esri UK and Xerox for delivering the project.

Cyient said that the partnership brings relevant experience of direct and tangible benefits to the Local Land Charges program.

Under the Local Land Charges program, the HM Land Registry wants to digitize and migrate millions of local land charge records that were previously held separately from local authorities into a centralized digital register. The migration is expected to allow the British government department to give a single and simple-to-use digital service for conveyancers and homebuyers.

Xerox’s Capture and Content Services, which is powered by artificial intelligence and machine learning, will capture and validate information automatically from digital and physical local land charge records.

Miles Gabriel – Commercial Manager at Esri UK said: “Esri UK look forward to collaborating with Cyient and Xerox to support HMLR on their LLC Programme. Location is a key parameter for the program and our Sweet for ArcGIS software is designed for exactly this type of use case—configurable, Web-based geospatial data capture/editing by multiple parallel operators with real-time feedback to support efficient capture of high quality data.”

Cyient said that it will own the entire process and offer a central management information platform for enabling “single pane of glass” reporting. The platform will be able to drill down to prove integrity of the data and provenance.

The Indian engineering and digital technology solutions company will offer all spatial capture and improvement services and textual capture as well.
