CTI buys situational awareness technology firm Rapid Imaging Technologies

Chesapeake Technology International (CTI) has acquired Rapid Imaging Technologies, a US-based situational awareness technology provider, for an undisclosed price.

According to Chesapeake Technology International, the deal bolsters its offerings and grows its capabilities in situational awareness as well as video analytics technologies.

Chesapeake Technology International, which is a portfolio company of Bluestone Investment Partners, is engaged in providing software and imaging solutions for the defense and intelligence communities.

Rapid Imaging brings over 25 years of expertise in developing cutting-edge software and imaging solutions for the intelligence and defense communities.

Its technology, which is patented, enables real-time information on geospatial positional awareness on live video to deliver vital information to military clients.
