Crown Holdings selects Mesquite for new aluminum can manufacturing plant

Crown Holdings has selected Mesquite, Nevada as the location for its previously announced Southwestern US aluminum beverage can manufacturing facility.

According to the Pennsylvania-based rigid packaging company, the two-line aluminum can manufacturing plant will supply standard and specialty beverage cans to its customers who produce carbonated soft drinks, energy drinks, sparkling water, beer, hard seltzers, and ready-to-drink cocktails.

Crown Holdings said that the beverage can plant facility will help it cater to existing customers in the Western US apart from supporting the growth of new beverage launches in aluminum cans.

“Consumers continue to seek beverage options predominantly in cans and are increasingly aware of the sustainability benefits of the aluminum can.”

The aluminum beverage can manufacturing facility will be built in the Mesquite Technology and Commerce Center. The 355,000sft beverage can manufacturing plant is anticipated to start operations in Q2 2023 and will generate 126 new jobs.
