Continental Coffee launches Continental Greenbird plant-based meat products
Continental Coffee (CCL), an Indian coffee brand, has forayed into the frozen foods segment by launching plant-based meat products under the Continental Greenbird brand.
With the launch, Continental Coffee plans to target the increasing consumer base that wants sustainable products while closing the gap between meat cravings and guilt-free habits.
Under the Continental Greenbird brand, Continental Coffee will offer four plant-based meat varieties initially, which include Chicken-like nuggets, Chicken-like sausage, Mutton-like keema, and Chicken-like seekh kebab.
According to the Indian coffee brand, the Continental Greenbird products are prepared from plant-based protein which is extracted from Green pea, Chickpea, and in the case of Mutton-like keema, it is from soya.

The Indian coffee company said that the price for Continental Greenbird range begins from INR 295 for 260gm. Presently, the plant-based meat products are available in grocery stores and modern trade outlets in Pune, Hyderabad, and Chandigarh.
Sujatha Stephen — Continental Greenbird Nutritionist and Consultant said: “Continental Greenbird range is delicious and mirrors the same experience of having meat. For instance, the taste and texture of chicken-like nuggets is just like real chicken.
“The range is not just great to taste but filled with nutrition and protein since they are made from green peas, chickpea and soya. This diet is good for health and for the environment as well.”
