Borden rolls out new dairy product Kid Builder in US
US dairy company Borden has released new Borden Kid Builder, the firm’s first 2% no-sugar-added milk for kids, as per the latest dairy industry news.
The dairy product with 50% more protein (13g per 240mL serving) and calcium (490mg per 240mL serving) than regular milk is made from non-rbST treated cows.
Nick Suffredin – vice president of Research and Development, Borden said: “Growing kids need protein, calcium, vitamins and minerals to build strong bodies and minds. But getting them to eat enough of these key nutrients can be a challenge.
“Whether offering the energy they need for that fun playdate or providing a tasty after-school snack, Kid Builder, with no added sugar, is an excellent high-protein option.”

The launch of Kid Builder follows Borden’s recent leadership transformation and focus on bring its nutritious and delicious dairy products to more families in the US.

Kid Builder, available in chocolate and strawberry flavors, is priced $4.29 for the 52-ounce multi-serve bottle and $1.59 for the 12-ounce single-serve bottle.
The company said the milk can be found in major retail grocery stores and convenience stores in select markets in the Southeast and Ohio.
Calcium, potassium and vitamin D are three of the four “nutrients of public health concern” lacking in American diets, including children’s, according to the U.S. Office of Disease Prevention and Health.
Borden, founded in 1857, operates 13 milk processing plants and nearly 100 branches across the US.
