Bharat Forge subsidiary, Rolls-Royce Marine sign MoU for naval propulsion systems

Bharat Forge said that its fully-owned subsidiary Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited (KSSL) has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Rolls-Royce Marine North America for developing naval propulsion systems for the Indian market.

As per the terms of the agreement, Kalyani Strategic Systems will cooperate with Rolls-Royce Marine North America in the areas of development and design, licensed manufacturing, sales and pre-sales support, installation, commissioning, testing, aftermarket support and services for propeller systems.

This will enable the development of an ecosystem of the local supply chain within India for pitch propellers and shafting systems in accordance with the requirements of the Indian Navy.
