Bharat Electronics Ltd, IIT Madras to partner on quantum technology

Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL), an Indian state-owned aerospace and defence electronics company, said that it has entered into a joint development agreement (JDA) with the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) to co-operate in quantum science and technology.

The objective of the joint development agreement is to utilize the complementary capabilities and strengths of Bharat Electronics Ltd and IITM to develop cutting-edge technology.

Founded in Bengaluru in 1954, Bharat Electronics is focused on meeting the requirements of the Indian defence services for electronics equipment, systems, and services.
