Ball Corporation to build aluminum beverage packaging plant in Las Vegas

Ball Corporation said that it plans to set up a new aluminum beverage packaging plant in North Las Vegas, Nevada for the US market with a multi-year investment of around $290 million.

According to the aluminum packaging solutions provider, the multi-line plant is slated to start production in late 2022. When fully operational, the aluminum beverage packaging facility is anticipated to generate close to 180 manufacturing jobs.

Kathleen Pitre — Ball Corporation president of beverage packaging North and Central America said: “Our new North Las Vegas plant is Ball’s latest investment to serve accelerating demand for our portfolio of infinitely recyclable aluminum containers.

“The new plant is supported by numerous long-duration contracts for committed volume with our strategic global partners and regional customers and will enable us to serve customer and consumer needs for more sustainable aluminum beverage packaging while furthering our Drive for 10 vision.”

The aluminum beverage packaging plant in Las Vegas will supply a variety of can sizes to a range of beverage customers.

Ball Corporation said that it selected the North Las Vegas location for its new aluminum beverage packaging plant because of its proximity to customer can-filling investments.
