Aster DM Healthcare to open Rs550cr super specialty hospital in Trivandrum

Aster DM Healthcare has announced plans to build a 550-bed super specialty hospital in Trivandrum, Kerala with an investment of over INR 550 crores.

The integrated advanced healthcare facility at Trivandrum will have a built-up area of 5.76 lakh sft, which excludes the provision for one lakh sft for multilevel car parking space.

Aster DM Healthcare aims to open the first phase of the new super specialty hospital in Trivandrum by the financial year 2026. It will have a capacity of 350 beds in this initial phase.

The super specialty facility in Kerala is expected to have various centres for clinical excellence that will serve the functions of cardiac sciences, neurosciences, organ transplant, oncology, orthopaedics, urology and nephrology, woman and child wellness, and gastro sciences.

Aster DM Healthcare said that the super specialty hospital in Trivandrum will be offering OPD, ICU, IPD, including high dependency units such as NICU, PICU, and transplant ICU, 24 hours trauma and emergency response, and day-care support services.

The Indian healthcare service provider claimed that robotics and new generation systems will be gradually introduced at the Trivandrum super specialty hospital.
