Aramark acquires college food delivery service Good Uncle

Aramark acquisition of Good Uncle : Aramark, a provider of food, facilities management, and uniforms, has acquired college food delivery service Good Uncle for an undisclosed price.

Good Uncle is an app-based on-demand food delivery service that delivers meals that are freshly prepared and restaurant-quality to conveniently located pick-up points near college campuses.

Launched in 2016, Good Uncle uses centralized production and a fleet of vehicles to provide meals to well-known spots on and off the campus. The culinary team of the college food delivery service crafts a diverse menu of healthy and indulgent items that frequently rotates.

Good Uncle, by designating pick up locations, is simultaneously able to deliver to various customers, leading to greater efficiency than conventional delivery options.

According to Aramark, Good Uncle will independently operate and will maintain its brand identity. The acquisition is said to complement the standing of Aramark as an industry leader in campus dining, catering to 400 plus campuses across the US.
