A&R Logistics buys bulk liquid transportation company RJ’s Transportation

A&R Logistics, a supply chain services company backed by Wind Point Partners, has acquired RJ’s Transportation for an undisclosed price, in a move to strengthen its footprint in the Gulf Coast within the liquid platform.

Based in Port Allen, Louisiana, RJ’s Transportation caters to the chemical industry with bulk liquid transportation and other logistics services.

Established in 1990 by Riley James Blanchet (RJ Blanchet), RJ’s Transportation operates a network that is located strategically near major routes and ports in the chemical supply chain of North America. A majority of loads of these originate in the Gulf Coast.

The company offers major North American chemical producers and diversified industrial companies with over-the-road liquid bulk transportation solutions apart from dry van, dry bulk, less than load (LTL), and flatbed trucking services.

On the other hand, A&R Logistics provides transportation services for dry and liquid bulk, warehousing and packaging, export, distribution, in-plant, and third-party logistics solutions to various global companies within the chemical industry.

It was acquired by Wind Point Partners in 2019 and since then has made six add-on acquisitions, which includes that of RJ’s Transportation.

A&R Logistics said that its focus will be continued on acquiring firms that serve to producers and distributors of chemicals and plastics with dry and liquid bulk transportation, warehousing, and logistics services.
