Anupam Rasayan bags Rs 540-crore orders for specialty chemicals

Anupam Rasayan has bagged contracts worth INR 540 crores from two multinational firms engaged in life sciences chemicals.

According to the Indian custom synthesis and specialty chemical company, the contracts are for five years under which it will supply life sciences related specialty chemicals.

While one of the contracts is from an existing customer, the other is from a recently acquired customer, said Anupam Rasayan.

The Surat-based company revealed that it was a part of the product development process of both the companies from the start and to the commercialization of the specific products that are involved in the contracts.

Anand Desai – Managing Director of Anupam Rasayan said: “These new orders will bolster our growth prospects and allow us to diversify our product offering. Additionally, we will produce the materials needed for these two contracts in our current multipurpose facilities, which will aid in the ramp-up of newly constructed capacity.

“The recently completed capex are a significant step forward in our goal to further strengthen our global footprint. This expansion of our long-standing partnership with an established client and a newly acquired client demonstrates our team’s expertise and consistent organisational excellence.”

The new orders add on to the letter of intent of INR 1,100 crores received by Anupam Rasayan from a multinational life sciences company in April 2021.
