Adani Green Energy commissions 130MW wind farm in Kutchh, Gujarat

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) announced that its subsidiary, Adani Wind Energy Kutchh Five Limited (AWEK5L, formerly known as Adani Green Energy Five Limited), has successfully commissioned a 130MW wind farm in Kutchh, Gujarat.

The wind farm in Gujarat has entered into a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for the entire 130MW capacity, at a rate of INR 2.83/kWh.

With the addition of this newly commissioned wind farm, Adani Green Energy’s operational wind generation capacity has reached 1.1GW, contributing to the company’s overall operational renewable generation capacity of 8.2GW. This achievement puts Adani Green Energy well on track to realize its ambitious vision of reaching a total renewable portfolio capacity of 45GW by 2030.

To ensure efficient management and optimal performance of the newly commissioned plant, Adani Green Energy will utilize the Adani Group’s intelligent ‘Energy Network Operation Centre’ (ENOC) platform. This advanced technology has consistently played a crucial role in maintaining superior operational performance across Adani Green Energy’s diverse renewable portfolio, which spans multiple locations in India.
