Accenture acquires Spanish supply chain consulting firm Alfa Consulting

Accenture has acquired a Spain-based supply chain consulting firm called Alfa Consulting that specializes in operations strategy in capital intensive industries.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Alfa Consulting is headquartered in Barcelona and has offices in Madrid and Mexico as well.

The supply chain consulting firm is said to have wide expertise in making use of analytics for designing and implementing new operational models for clients in industries such as utilities, energy, industrial goods, high tech, and others.

According to Accenture, the acquisition of the supply chain consulting firm strengthens its capabilities for helping clients in Spain, Mexico, and Portugal in the transformation of their supply chains to make them more resilient, sustainable, and responsive.

Alfa Consulting’s 52 consultants will join Accenture’s Supply Chain and Operations unit, which helps clients with customer-centered supply chain segmentation, end-to-end supply network visibility, transformation of sourcing and procurement, resilience stress testing, operational agility, and responsible and sustainable supply chain strategies.
